HVAC Install Technician, Experienced or Trainee

Field Tech, Robbie

ISLAND DUCTLESS is continuing to grow and is looking for experienced or entry level candidates for a new HVAC Installation Technician opening.

You must be a responsible, self-starting individual who is highly motivated to participate in and be trained in HVAC/heat pump systems installation. The right candidate will have excellent customer service and problem solving skills and should enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.

The Primary Job Function:
To work with and learn on the job, from our experienced HVAC Installation team. You'll learn the job of installing heat pump heating and air conditioning systems to company standards while providing our customers a high-quality experience. Participate in training towards being able to work independently or with other installers, maintaining high quality and timely job performance.

Qualifications (include but not limited to):

  • Be physically fit, able to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders and work outside all year round.
  • Valid current driver's license and good driving record
  • Willingness to participate in training, seminars and classes
  • Basic safety knowledge of tools and surroundings, safe use of ladders, ability to comply with all safety rules
  • Experienced in basic home construction and use of construction tools
  • Aptitude for quickly learning skills like layout, design and installation
  • Ability to work well with customers, co-workers, subcontractors and builders
  • Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Excellent customer relations skills and an open mind to think outside of the box
  • Can demonstrate a high level of problem solving skills
  • Comfortable using smart devices/apps in the field

Starting rate is dependent on experience, with a minimum starting rate of $24 per hour. Benefits package included, details will be discussed at the interview.
